Dvorak Estimates Changes
The Satellite Analysis Branch terminated manual Dvorak estimates in the South Indian Ocean on July 1, 2025 and in the North Atlantic,
Central Pacific, and East Pacific on May 10, 2026. Dvorak estimates for the South Pacific, Northwest Pacific, and North Indian Ocean
will be terminated on September 8, 2026. Users are referred to Dvorak estimates issued by the National Weather Service (NWS), the Department of
War (DOW), and other Regional Specialized Meteorological Centers (RSMCs). Please email User Services at spsd.userservices@noaa.gov
