Advected Layered Precipitable Water (ALPW) generates an hourly, four-layer blended precipitable water map from five satellites: Metop-B, Metop-C, SNPP, N20, and N21. The product features a 16km resolution in a global Cylindrical Equidistant (CE) projection, with units measured in mm. The four layers are: surface-850 mb, 850-700 mb, 700-500 mb, and 500-300 mb. The Product data format is NetCDF and is compatible with AWIPS-2 systems.
