THROUGH 0000Z November 04, 2025
SMOKE: Florida… Light density smoke plumes were observed in southern Florida blowing southward. Georgia… Light density smoke plumes were observed in eastern Georgia drifting southeastward and appear to make their way towards the Atlantic coast in the coming hours. California… An area of light-density smoke plumes produced by agricultural fires in the northern Central Valley of California was seen extending northwest across the valley before becoming obscured by heavy cloud cover. Individual fires in the Sierra Nevada mountain range also produced light-to-moderate density smoke plumes that drifted eastward towards Nevada. Southeastern United States… An area of light density smoke was observed this evening stretching from eastern Texas to southern Alabama and the Florida panhandle. The area of smoke consisted of individual smoke plumes produced by agricultural fires throughout the region and dispersed southward into the northern Gulf of America. AEROSOL/SMOKE: Mexico/Pacific Ocean… An area of light-density smoke, consisting primarily of aerosols from gas flaring and other urban/industrial activity across Mexico, mixed with additional emissions from scattered fire activity in the region, was observed dispersing into the Pacific Ocean off the southern and western coastline of Mexico. GL THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE, TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED. USERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO VIEW A GRAPHIC DEPICTION OF THESE AND OTHER PLUMES WHICH ARE LESS EXTENSIVE AND STILL ATTACHED TO THE SOURCE FIRE IN VARIOUS GRAPHIC FORMATS ON OUR WEB SITE: JPEG:http://www.ospo.noaa.gov/data/land/fire/currenthms.jpg Smoke data: https://satepsanone.nesdis.noaa.gov/pub/FIRE/web/HMS/Smoke_Polygons Fire data: https://satepsanone.nesdis.noaa.gov/pub/FIRE/web/HMS/Fire_Points ANY QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS REGARDING THIS PRODUCT SHOULD BE SENT TO: SSDFireTeam@noaa.gov
