THROUGH 2330Z October 7, 2025
SMOKE: Mississippi Valley/South-Central United States… Despite the presence of some cloud cover, light-density smoke was observed across the South-Central United States this evening, most likely originating from regional agricultural burning. Light smoke was also observed in Northeastern Mexico, stemming from fires along the Southern Texas border and merging with smoke plumes from the South-Central United States. Washington State… The Labor Mountain fire in Chelan County and the Wildcat fire in Yakima County produced moderate-to-heavy smoke concentrated near the fire source. Light smoke from these fires was observed dispersing north into British Columbia and west towards the coast of Washington, ultimately extending into the Pacific Ocean. Additional light-to-moderate smoke was observed being produced by the wildfire in Grays Harbor County, merging with the light smoke from the fires in Chelan and Yakima County. Hernandez THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE, TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS.
