Details/Specifics of Change:
The following message was sent out on 27 September 2004. We would like to
have user response or comments by 21 October 2004. Otherwise the format
will be the final format for NOAA-N and no additional updates will be made
prior to launch (scheduled for 11 February 2004):
Please take note that the NOAA-N 1b format is now available on website. This
version will be use to process the NOAA-N data. No additional
updates will occur prior to launch and this update is expected to be the
operational version for NOAA-N. You will find on the website a file named
"2003". This is the initial NOAA-N format issued in August 2003. The new
updated version is available under each instrument to be flown on
NOAA-N. Also there is a "diff" file under each instrument that describes the
difference in the new version and the 2003 version. We have attempted
to make the changes without generating a format change. Hopefully, you will
not have to make major changes in your software in order to implement
the latest version.
