Details/Specifics of Change:
The management of the Information Processing Division of the Office of
Satellite Data Processing and Distribution has officially declared the
NOAA-N 1b data format to be the new operational data format for Polar
Orbiting Environmental Satellite (POES) data. This format will become the
operational format for NOAA-15, 16, 17 and NOAA-N effective mid January
2005. Static test data will be provided during the week of 15-19 November
2004. Dynamic data will also be provided for test purposes the first of
December 2004. Again the NOAA-N ( format to be used) is available on website
at: ftp//metroweb.nesdis.noaa.gov/pub under the file name "noaa-n".
