Details/Specifics of Change:
The NOAA-16 AMSU-A1 Channel.4 has been showing indications of it malfunctioning since January 2007. However, between 25 February and 4 March, the problem increased to the point that over half the data became unusable. Its NEdT increased to >5K (nominal value ~0.2 K). The channel is deemed unusable and is not expected to recover. Other channels are still functional with some limitations.
