On 10 January 2005 at 16:00 UTC the HIRS Filter Housing Heater on NOAA-16
will be turned on. This is to correct an anomaly that has caused the data to
exceed the noisy limits for product use. During this heater turn on period a
bias will be introduced into the data that will affect the calibration. This
procedure is an attempt to get the data back within usable limits.
