Details/Specifics of Change:
We will begin updating the coefficients for NOAA-17 AVHRR instrument in May
2004. This will be the same procedure as the updates for NOAA-16. An
announcement will be forwarded once the coefficients are received from the
instrument scientist. This will also anounnce the effective date of
implementing the updated coefficients. An impact statement will be provided
as well. Please let this serve as notification that NOAA-17 AVHRR
coefficients for channels 1,2, an 3A will now be updated (beginning in May
2004) on a regular monthly basis . Again an impact statement will be
provided for the first couple of updates.
