REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The possible oil is believed to be associated with NOAA Response Link Hotline #11125 and was observed in Ship Shoal Area of Louisiana. It contains two slicks, with the longer one measuring approximately 3.62 nmi in length and up to 0.95 nmi in width. The possible oil appeared dark and high contrast against the background. Winds at the time of the image were from the southeast at 13 knots, aligning well with the orientation of the slicks. Confidence is considered high, given the association with NOAA Response Link Hotline #11125 and previous NRC reports.
