REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The fragmented slick was believed to be associated with NRC #1422012. The slicks combined spanned over approximately 40.97 nm. It was dark in color, had well defined edges, and a strong contrast against its surroundings. Winds near the time of the image were coming from the NW at 5 kts. which aligned well with the orientation of the slick. It was difficult to determine what was natural phenomena which resulted in a Medium-High confidence.


UNCERTAINTIES: The full extent of the slick was unknown due to the image cutting off towards the north and natural phenomena in the vicinity. There was a high possibility that the fragments far east were natural phenomena.
