REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The possible oil slick was observed in the Main Pass area of the Gulf of Mexico, measuring approximately 4.23nm in length and up to 0.08nm in width. The slick exhibited a strong contrast with well-defined edges, and significantly widened at one end. The slick was also observed in close proximity to NRC#1418539, which previously described a similar anomaly in the same area. Winds at the time were NE at approximately 16kts. Due to these collaborating factors, the confidence for this report is High.
