REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The larger slick was approximately 6.90 nm long and approx. 1.33 nm at its widest. The dark colored slick had high contrast against the ocean background and was distinguishable from natural phenomena. Winds near the time of the image were coming from the E at 14 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: It is possible that this slick was associated with NRC #1416219 which was issued on 11/12 and located west of the slick. Also, it was believed the smaller slick to the south was broken off from the main slick. Finally, a point source was not determined.
