REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. An oil facility in the western South Pelto area off the coast of Louisiana approximately 7 NM south of Terrebonne Bay appeared to be the source of the possible oil. The anomaly stood out from the background environment being darker with a straight leading edge moving to the southwest of the facility. Nearby facilities did not show a similar signature. The anomaly measured 2.7 NM long and .7 NM at its widest. Winds at the time were 15 kt from the NE.

UNCERTAINTIES: The anomaly was relatively diffuse but given the remarks above and the wind conditions at the time, confidence remains high.
