REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The slick was linear in shape and appeared to emanate from the known shipwreck (Thomas Heyward), a repeat leak source. The slick was approximately 3.22nm in length, and approximately 0.08nm at the widest point. Winds near the time of the image were out of the SE at 8kts, which aligned with the trajectory of the slick. Despite the fact that the slick seemed to be emanating from a known wreck, it was relatively feint and hard to see. For these reasons, the confidence for this report is Medium-High.
