REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly appeared to emanate northeastward from the site of Wreck 1487, a known repeat leak source. It measured approximately 1.9 nmi in length and up to 0.2 nmi in width, and had a fairly dark appearance against its background, with off-white coloring nearer the suspected source that indicated possible thicker oil. Winds at the time of the image were from the S at around 9 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: Clouds within the image potentially limited observation of portions of the anomaly. Only those areas where possible oil could be discerned were included in the analysis.
