Satellite Source: Sentinel 1A Mode: Interferometric Wide (IW) VV Resolution: 5x20 meter Image Date & Time: 05-08-2018 0025 UTC Confidence: Medium-High Issue Date: 05-09-2018 Region: Gulf of Mexico Location: 2609'03" N, 9454'31" W Coverage Area: 58.10 km^2 Remarks: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly measured 10.99 NM in length and 3.64 NM in width. Confidence that the anomaly seen was oil is Medium-High. The anomaly had high contrast with the surrounding area and well defined edges. The anomaly had several areas exhibiting feathering. The anomaly had several sharp turns indicating that it was not a natural seep. The anomaly was located amongst several oil facilities and pipelines. Uncertainties: There are several known natural seeps located in the vincinity of the anomaly and a point source could not be identified. The area of the anomaly is an approximation.
