Satellite Source: Landsat 7 Mode: Multispectral Resolution: 30 meter Image Date & Time: 04-18-2018 1557 UTC Confidence: High Issued Date: 04-18-2018 Region: Gulf of Mexico Location: 2501'27" N, 8245'14" W Coverage Area: 0.86 km^2 Remarks: A possible oil slick was observed in satellite imagery. The slick appeared to originate from the location of a ship wreck which is now known as a repeat leak source. The anomaly extends approximately 2.2 nm southwest from the platform. The slick is about .35 nm wide. The anomaly shows a dark appearance against the ocean background. Uncertainties: Since the anomaly seems to originate from a new repeat leak source, there is no uncertainty.
