Details/Specifics of Change: For several decades, the NOAA Ocean Color Okeanos FTPS system has delivered operational ocean color products derived from the VIIRS sensor on board Suomi NPP and NOAA-20. The legacy OC FTPS system is scheduled to be retired on January 26, 2027. Users are encouraged to prepare for this transition prior to or shortly after the start of the new year (before January 26, 2027).

Note: This retirement follows the scheduled discontinuation of NOAA S-NPP Ocean Color products by November 1, 2026, and the migration of NOAA-20 product generation to the NESDIS Common Cloud Framework (NCCF) in June 2026.
