NESDIS intends to retire the Metop-B/C HRPT data and products effective September 1, 2026. The decision was made because continuous support of the products require legacy servers that are slated to be retired at the end of the fiscal year and the Metop-B/C FRAC (1.1 km resolution) and GAC (4 km resolution) data offer the same coverage area captured by the HRPT data.
