Details/Specifics : Starting at around 1550Z 10/14/2025, NOAA stopped receiving Himawari-8 data from JMA. NOAA has traced to a cause to a failure in NOAA’s ingest systems; repairs are being implemented and should be resolved soon.
Until the issue is resolved, we have no Himawari imagery or Derived Products (Rain Rate, Cloud, Winds, Arctic Composite, Enterprise Rain Rate).
This will also affect McIDAS distribution of Himawari data (HIM/ group). Blended products using this data (Global HydroEstimator, Global Mosaic) will be degraded.
