Update #1: This is a reminder that the Phase 3: ESPC Legacy VLAN 4 Routing Changes to address asymmetric routes that could impact NCEP and COPC users accessing Legacy products via the NCEP POP will occur tomorrow, March 25, 2025.

Update #2: Note: the Title of this notification has changed from ESPC Migrate Legacy RoutingDecommission Obsolete Core Switches to ESPC Legacy VLAN 4 Routing Changes to address asymmetric routes that could impact NCEP and COPC users accessing Legacy products via the NCEP POP.  

 

Update #1: Due to Critical Weather Day (CWD) the ESPC Migrate Legacy Routing, Decommission Obsolete Core Switches will now occur on March 6, 2025. 


Topic: ESPC Network Maintenance Phase 3 DMZ2 Partner ZONE

 

Phase 3: VLAN4: The scheduled ESPC network maintenance work will potentially impact all legacy ESPC partner zone product distribution for up to 5 minutes and will result in delayed product processing during the network maintenance window. When connectivity is restored most systems will process the backlog in addition to their current products.  A few know systems within the partner zone are (Meko, Tiger, POES, GOES, IJPS).


Date/Time Issued:  March 25, 2025 1344 UTC

Product(s) or Data Impacted:  All incoming and outgoing data for ESPC products accessing ESPC Legacy Production Servers. All NCEP Legacy COPC users accessing ESPC legacy Products via the Partner Zone NCEP POP connection. This interface carries all Legacy NCEP users accessing Legacy ESPC products .


Date/Time of Initial Impact:  Mar 25th, 2025 1600 UTC

Date/Time of Expected End: Mar 25th, 2025 1700 UTC

Length of Event:  Approximately 60 mins


The Alternate date is March 27 in case of Critical Weather Day.


This maintenance will NOT be done on a Critical Weather Day, nor if there are other significant operational issues warranting postponement.
