Details/Specifics of Change:

 

The NESDIS Operational Enterprise Fire (eFire) products have been in operation in NESDIS Common Cloud Framework (NCCF) since August 29, 2023. OSPO/ESPC will stop the production of the legacy NDE AF on January 31, 2025.  Users should switch to eFire in their applications by then. Below are the PDA short name and file patterns for both legacy NDE AF and NCCF eFire for your information.

List of Scientific Changes: NDE AF VIIRS and will be terminated while NDE AF VIIRS I-Band will be replaced with NCCF eFire VIIRS I-Band.

 

Please note: This upgrade will not be performed during Critical Weather Day (CWD).

Also, the contents of this release are subject to change based on user readiness, customer feedback, and management approval.
