Update #1: Operations was able to recover the NOAA-21 spacecraft to a valid Geolocation state on July 20, 2024. Cal/Val teams have confirmed that NOAA-21 Science products are meeting mission specifications and ready for operational use.

Details: Starting on July 20 at ~06:18 UTC, the geolocation of the NOAA-21 spacecraft entered a degraded state causing the data to be inaccurate and out of mission specifications. Engineering has started spacecraft recovery activities.
All PDA OPS subscriptions for all NOAA-21 science products will be disabled at 10:10 UTC on July 20, 2024.
Direct Broadcast (DB) users should be aware that NOAA-21 science data is not ready for operational use.
The NOAA-20 satellites will continue to provide JPSS science data needs as the secondary satellite.
