Details/Specifics of Change: Effective on or after June 3, 2024, the Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS) Satellite Cloud Products (SCPs) from the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) stations list will be updated in the NDE operation. The format of the new GOES-18 ASOS SCPs will match that of the GOES-16 ASOS SCPs (and of their predecessors from GOES-15 and GOES-13). This change will remove about 149 station locations and identifiers which are no longer in service and obsolete that will not appear in the GOES ASOS SCPs. This change was also broadcast in the NWS Service Change Notice 24-37 on April 3, 2024.
