Details/Specifics of Change:
The SNPP/N20/N21 VIIRS Flood Mapping (VFM),
GOES-16/18 ABI Flood Mapping (AFM), tailored VIIRS imagery for NIC IMS,
SNPP/N20/N21 Surface Reflectance (SR), and N21 Cloud
Height/Mask/Phase/COMP/CCL/CBH products are being
migrated from on-prem systems to the NESDIS Common Cloud Framework (NCCF).
The patches of N21 CrIS BUFR and SNPP/N20/N21 eFire VIIRS I-Band will
be promoted for operations. All the products are
planned to be declared operational in NCCF and distributed from PDA OPS on October 31, 2023. N21 SR may remain as Beta until Provisional
status is reached. The test products are
available on PDA I&T now,
except for N21 CrIS BUFR with clouds, which will be available on PDA I&T soon. The date will be determined in the next
notification update. Users can start subscribing to
these data products from PDA I&T.
The test data product short names are appended with “_TEST”.

eFire VIIRS I-Band will correctly detect persistent hotspots over water.
Please note: This upgrade will not be
performed during Critical Weather Day (CWD).
