Correction: NOAA-20 entered the non-nominal state at 1902Z on September 29, 2023 instead of the originally announced time.
Update #3: After further investigation, NOAA-20 entered a non-nominal state at ~1847Z on September 29, 2023. Telemetry from subsequent contacts indicate a possible Spacecraft Command Processor reset and all instruments are confirmed to be in a safe state. Engineering will continue to restore all instruments and science data to an operational state once a plan forward has been determined. All missed data will not be recoverable (after the 1836Z Sept 29, 2023 observation time). The S-NPP and NOAA-21 satellites will continue to provide JPSS science data as the secondary and tertiary satellites, respectively.
Update #2: IDPS is not receiving any SMD data until further notice. Engineering is investigating.
Update #1: IDPS did not receive SMD data for the J01 McMurdo contact 30382. The cause for the J01 data outage is being investigated.
