Update #1 - Final Update -- Both ground stations began sending alert data again at 1917Z. The communications vendor and SARSAT analysts are still investigating the root cause of the issue.

Details/Specifics of Change:  The SARSAT Florida and Hawaii Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) Ground Stations are not sending data to the USMCC. The communications vendor and SARSAT analysts are working to identify and resolve the problem.

 

Impact:  Significant - Western Pacific, Atlantic, and Caribbean Search and Rescue region's MEOSAR distress detection/reporting is delayed. LEOSAR and GEOSAR are nominal.
