Details/Specifics of Change:

From April 8, 2022 through April 29, 2022, the operational setpoint of  GOES-17 ABI will be adjusted to mitigate the impacts of the elevated focal plane module (FPM) temperatures on imagery and maintain the maximum nominal hours of water vapor imagery.  See GOES-17 ABI Saturation Prediction Reference Tools for more background information.  

The following table summarizes the adjustments to setpoint throughout the April warm period (changes to setpoint are performed at 1500 UTC):

These setpoint changes are independent of the GOES-15 supplemental operations plan scheduled for April 12-18, 2022. These changes are not subject to critical weather day.
