Date/Time Issued: August 08, 2022 1929Z
Product or Data Impacted: GOES-17 ABI L2 Full Disk and Meso Products All Bands
Date/Time of Initial Impact: August 06, 2022 0600Z

Length of the Outage/Event: 18 hours
Details/Specifics of Change: GOES-17 ABI L2 Full Disk and Meso Products All Bands delivered to PDA were not produced during three consecutive ABI Cooling Timelines between August 6 and August 8, 2022 from 0600Z to 1200Z. Data Operations Support Team (DOST) engineers have implemented a solution to the problem.
The ABI Cooling timeline will operate in Mode 3 (“Flex Mode 3” uploaded as timelineID=3) where GOES-17 ABI will generate a single full disk once per 15 minutes and generate one mesoscale domain sector each minute. Alternating MESO domains will be collected one time each per two-minute period. The CONUS domain will not be scanned during the timeline as those periods will be used for cooling.
