Details/Specifics of Change:
During the first period of GOES-18 and GOES-17 interleave between August 1st and September 6th, ABI Desert Monitoring PLT activities for GOES-18 will be ongoing. A desert monitoring calibration scan will be performed at a 3 day cadence from Aug 3rd to Aug 9th and a 4 day cadence from August 9th to September 6th to correspond to the Solar calibration schedule during this time.
The GOES-18 ABI Desert Monitoring Calibration scan will interrupt one 10 minute Flex Mode (Mode 6) timeline between 1900 and 2000 UTC, resulting in a 5 minute outage followed by a 5 minute Continuous Full Disk (Mode 4).
A GOES-18 ABI routine desert monitoring calibration scan will occur on the listed days during interleave following the schedule below:
