Details/Specifics of Change:
The next Interface Data Processing Segment (IDPS) Block 2.3 maintenance release Mx7 (IDPS Mx I2.3.07.00) is scheduled to transition to operations on July 18, 2022.
Algorithm Updates in IDPS Mx 7 release include:
OMPS Nadir Mapper Geolocation Code Change for Off-nadir Geolocation Error Correction:
No impacts on the OMPS NM SDR data format except for an improved geolocation quality for off-nadir OMPS(SNPP and NOAA-20) NM pixels
CrIS FS SDR Calibration Coefficient Table RangeMin and RangeMax values Update(SNPP & NOAA-20):
Quality Flag/Data Quality Threshold Table (DQTT) Updates
VIIRS NCC EDR quality flag will be set when there is SDR saturation AND the DNB does not report Stray Light Correction.
Enable VIIRS SDR DQTT I1-I2, I4-I5, M1-M5 and M12-M16 Data Quality Notifications (S-NPP and NOAA-20)
Enable VIIRS Imagery EDR DQTT for NCC Data Quality Notifications (S-NPP and NOAA-20)
NOAA-20 CrIS Baffle Temp Anomaly: - increase temp swing limit
Removes degraded data quality false alarms associated with the NOAA-20 CrIS scan baffle temperature anomaly. No change to data quality.
SNPP CrIS FS SDR DQTT threshold
This change is already in operations and is added to Mx7 baseline
Update all DQTT files to remove the “NPP” in the Version ID
Out-of-cycle LUTs/PCTs added to the Mx7 baseline:
J02 ATMS Mounting Matrix Coefficients (PCT) Pre-launch Data
J02 CrIS Mounting Matrix Coefficients (PCT) Update Pre-launch Data
J02 OMPS Mounting Matrix PCT Updates (pre-dynamic)
Launch Ready VIIRS LUTS for J02
OMPS J02 Nadir Version LUT Update N_TIM_PAT_VER Value
