Update #4 SUVI GT restarted SUVI products normalized at 1737z.
Update #3: Imaging by the GOES-16 SUVI instrument resumed at 1905Z on November 26, 2021. The SUVI imager is currently utilizing the Fine Sun Sensor (considered a back-up) versus the SUVI Guide Telescope (primary) to determine sun position. GOES-16 SUVI data is usable as of 1905Z, November 26, 2021. The total outage time of SUVI data: 2 days 19 hours 35 minutes. Engineers will continue to troubleshoot on Monday (29 November).
Update #2: The GOES-16 SUVI instrument is currently in a safe configuration and recovery is expected to resume on Friday (26 November). GOES-16 SUVI products are not being produced. Production of these products will not resume until Friday or later.
