Length of Outage:  30 minutes of product outage, about 1 hour of scanning, followed by another 30 minute product outage

Details/Specifics of Change:

A GOES-17 ABI Encoder and FTE Calibration will be performed on November 18, 2021, at 22:30 UTC resulting in two ABI product outages. Products may be degraded between outages.

On Tuesday, November 18, 2021 the following schedule will be employed to support GOES-17 ABI Encoder and FTE Calibrations: 

2230 UTC - 2300 UTC: GOES 17 ABI Outage

2300 UTC - Approximately 0000 UTC: GOES-17 Routine ABI Operations Resume with potentially degraded products

Approximately 0000 UTC - Approximately 0030 UTC: GOES-17 ABI outage

Approximately 0030 UTC: GOES-17 Routine ABI Operations Resume

Please note: If Critical Weather Day (CWD) is declared prior to 2230 UTC the calibration will be postponed.
