Details/Specifics of Change: 

The Himawari-8 Level-2 products are required by NWS as mitigation for the degraded GOES-17 ABI channels. In addition, the H8 Cloud Moisture Imagery products meet the NWS need for geostationary imagery within and near its Pacific and Alaska Regions. The following Himawari-8 products are planned to be deployed to the NCCF Prod on May 3rd 2021.  

Please note, not all PDA users may receive these products, subject to their current approvals for product type and data volume. These products will also be distributed by the Big Data Program: https://noaa-himawari8.s3.amazonaws.com/index.html

Please note: This promotion might not be performed during Critical Weather Day (CWD).

Also, the products of this promotion are subject to change based on user readiness, customer feedback, and management approval.
