Product(s) or Data Impacted: MIRS products from POES, Metop, DMSP, GPM and Megha-Tropiques
Date/Time of Initial Impact: November 5, 2020 1500 UTC
Impacts on Users and Significance: The v11r2 to v11r4 version update should be transparent to users. The users who are still pulling the MIRS Low-Res products need take action to switch to the MIRS high resolution products.
Details/Specifics of Change:
The following changes are scheduled on November 5, 2020
Update the MIRS version from v11r2 to v11r4 for all legacy satellites, including N19, Metop-A/-B, DMSP-17/-18, GPM, to be consistent with that of S-NPP and N20. There will be no science changes during this update.
Terminate the MIRS products from Megha-Tropiques
Terminate the MIRS low resolution products
