details, see the URL provided below. [Rev.2] Start
date of drift has changed to 29/10/2018. The new date
for the update of LRIT filenames is now scheduled for

Deployment
of MPEF (Meteorological Product Extraction Facility)
Release 2.7 for the Meteosat RSS and IODC services.
This release mainly includes bug fixes. The most
significant change is a shift of one pixel in the
emissivity maps. These static maps are used by the
Scenes Analysis algorithm and impact, indirectly, all
other products. The one pixel shift leads to very
small changes in the other products, which are
negligible in most cases. There will be a 1-hour
interruption in product generation during the
indicated time period, with a small risk of a longer
interruption. [Rev. 2]: Date changed from 2018/10/24
to 2018/11/07. |

Detail: |
Yearly
interruption. Meteosat-10 Rapid Scanning Service (RSS)
will be suspended for scheduled Full Earth Scanning
and Ground Segment Maintenance. Meteosat-9 RSS image
data, rectified to 9.5 deg E, replaces the Meteosat-10
service. The RSS meteorological product service is not
available during this timeframe. An outage of 5
minutes can be expected when switching to and from
Meteosat-9. Note: During this one-month period,
Meteosat-9 will be the back-up spacecraft for
Meteosat-11 0-degree service. So in the event of a
Meteosat-11 anomaly, Meteosat-9 RSS gap-filling
mission will stop and no RSS data will be available. |
