ERUPTION DETAILS: INETER INDICATES THAT THE MASAYA VOLCANO IS
CURRENTLY ACTIVE.

DETAILS OF ASH CLOUD: AT 1615 UTC A PLUME IS SEEN EXTENDING FROM THE
VOLCANO SUMMIT (1159N8610W) TOWARD THE WEST SOUTHWEST TO THE POINT
1142N8647W AND IS 5 KM (2.7 NMI) WIDE. THE PLUME IS ESTIMATED TO BE
NEAR THE SUMMIT HEIGHT AND AT OR BELOW FL050. RECENT ACTIVITY AT
MASAYA WITH SIMILAR PLUMES HAVE BEEN MAINLY STEAM BUT WITH THE
POSSIBILITY OF SOME ASH MIXED IN ACCORDING TO INETER AND IT IS FELT
THAT THIS IS LIKELY THE CASE FOR THIS EVENT.
